This Privacy Policy describes how Dugout Dude (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Dugout Dude mobile app, website, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the Service.

Account information
  • Email address
  • Optional display name
  • A unique user identifier (UID) generated through authentication

We use third-party authentication providers to securely manage login credentials.

Team & player information (user-provided content)

You may enter and store team and player details such as team name, player name, jersey number, position, and lineup/game settings. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate permission to enter and use player information.

Audio & media content

Dugout Dude lets you generate AI announcer audio, record voice clips, and store audio files for playback. Audio files and related metadata are stored in secure cloud storage to enable playback across devices. We do not review or monitor user audio content except as necessary to maintain system integrity, investigate abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

Subscription & purchase information

If you subscribe, redeem a code, or access paid features, we may receive and store your entitlement/access status. Payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) or other authorized payment providers. We do not collect or store full payment card details.

Diagnostics & performance data

We collect limited technical data such as crash logs, error reports, and performance metrics (for example, load times) to keep the app reliable, improve performance, and maintain security.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide core app functionality (teams, players, intros, game mode).
  • Sync data across devices.
  • Enable subscriptions, promo access, and paid features.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Improve reliability and performance.
  • Respond to support requests and service-related messages.

3. Tracking & Advertising

  • Dugout Dude does not use your data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not use advertising identifiers for behavioral advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted service providers to operate the Service, including cloud hosting and storage, authentication, subscription/entitlement management, and Apple Music integration for music playback.

These providers process information only to provide services on our behalf. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms such as Apple Music or the Apple App Store.

5. Data Retention

We retain data as long as necessary to provide the Service, maintain account functionality, and meet legal, security, and operational obligations. You may request account deletion by contacting us. Upon verified request, we will delete or anonymize your data, except where retention is required by law or legitimate operational needs.

6. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect user information. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s Information

Dugout Dude is intended for parents, coaches, and team organizers. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Player information entered into the app is provided by adult users who represent they have appropriate authority to provide such information. If you believe we have collected information inappropriately, please contact us.

8. User Responsibilities

  • Ensure you have permission to upload, record, or generate voice content.
  • Ensure you have rights to use team/player information you enter.
  • Comply with applicable music licensing rules when using Apple Music.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
